“CRAMMING”

According to Mr. Webster, Cramming is to prepare hastily or intensively for an upcoming/imminent examination.  It is a last minute study especially for an examination.  Why do most of us students cram? What are the possible tips to avoid cramming?
What! The exam is next week already? This is a common utterance of students whenever an examination is nearing. They tend to panic because they aren’t prepared for this.  We are fund of reviewing just a day before the exam and even hours and minutes before the test.  This is due to our laziness to scan our notes as early as possible. Or having an advance reading even it is not yet time for tests.
Cramming can cause forgetfulness according to some research. Thus to avoid being forgetful, we should also avoid cramming for examinations. How? Here are some tips to follow. If possible, start to review your notes weeks before the scheduled exam. Another is, scanning notes daily or every night after each lesson. Be prepared as the boy’s scout of the Philippine’s motto is. Secondly, do not try to memorize everything. Analyze your topic; don’t just put anything in mind without understanding what it means. Another tip is, make a reviewer or an outline of all the previous lessons that are needed to be bear in mind. If you have some clarifications, look for some books related to your problem or the book used as a reference by the teacher. Or if you are lazy to scan books, use the internet for easy outcome.
Avoid cramming! Review earlier to be sure of passing examinations and to avoid mental blockage.
