Search for Miss Kalinga 2013

         

                Every year, as a part of the celebration of the Kalinga Day, a search for Miss kalinga beauty is held. This is participated by different municipalities and sponsoring agencies/group. For this year it was held in the capitol’s gymnasium at February 15, 2013. Joining candidates are composed of 18 gorgeous ladies having unique and quality talents and characteristics that captured their audience’s eyes during the contest.

                The pageant was hosted by Miss Glenifer Perido, Miss Air Philippines 2012 and Mr. Erren Jay Khe. It started with their seductive production number and followed by a brief introduction of the candidates. Then the competition begins as they ramped with their native attire. The audience shout out loud for their own bets because they are really good in posing in front of us.  The next was the wearing of their casual dresses. Wow! What a sight! Was what I screamed that time. After that, the swim wear followed. The men whistled with the beautiful bodies capturing their eyes. The last wear was the evening gowns. All was astonished with the radiant ladies gently posing an the stage. 

                When all of this was finished, the masters of ceremony announced the minor awards that was given to the deserving candidates. Those awards were Miss Photogenic and Miss Friendship which were garnered by candidate number 5,Miss Ever Bilena and Miss Mestiza Kalinga taken by contestant number 1, Miss Bea got by candidate 18 and other awards. After this they announced the top 10.

                Then the most awaited part came. The question and answer portion . All of us shared nervousness with the beauties and waited attentively which could answer exactly and directly. All were good. Then top 5 were chosen. They are contestant numbers 11, 5, 15, 14, and 1. 

                The top five was given again the same questions for them to answer. And among them, the judges chose the best who answered the question correctly.

                The major awards came next. Best in swim wear, Best in gown, best in native attire, and best in casual wear were taken all by candidate number 18. The best in talent was given to contestant number 14. Among the candidates, contestant number 1 from Pasil, Miss Cheribeth Banson was crowned Miss Kalinga 2013 garnering a trip to Honkong worth 20,000. First runner-up, candidate number 5 from Tabuk having the benefit of going to Palawan, 2^nd runner-up was contestant number 15 from Balbalan, a trip to Baguio, and 3^rd runner up contestant number 14 from Lubuagan, a free accommodation of Davidson Hotel’s amenities.  And last but not the least, contestant number 11 got the 4^th runner-up award. They are all deserving of their prizes. Two thumbs up to all candidates and congratulation to the winners.
